Bostina & Associates SA was set up in 2006, following the purchase of Westdin SA, a Swiss legal consulting company specialized in international commercial law. Westdin SA had a share capital of 100,000 Swiss francs and its collections amounted to 4,000,000 Swiss francs, whereas the transaction value exceeded 800,000 Swiss francs.

Bostina & Associates was the first Romanian law firm to expand in Western Europe by purchasing a legal consulting company rather than establishing a simple partnership. After opening 2 branches in Vienna and Nicosia, the acquisition of a legal consulting company in Switzerland seemed like a natural step towards the company’s international expansion.

Westdin SA, with its over 12-year experience in the practice of international commercial law, represented an opportunity for Bostina & Associates to improve the services offered to clients in Romania intending to expand their business in Europe in general and in Switzerland in particular. Conversely, Westdin SA also offered Swiss businessmen the certainty of western-like legal services for their business ventures in Romania.
